11 Michigan Wendy’s Locations That Have Closed in 2026

Back in May, we started noticing something strange happening with Wendy’s locations around Michigan. Restaurants that had been around for years were suddenly showing up as permanently closed.

Well, a few months later, the list has gotten even longer.

Wendy’s Has Been Closing Restaurants Across the Country

This isn’t just a Michigan thing.

Wendy’s said it planned to close hundreds of underperforming restaurants across the country, mainly locations that just weren’t doing enough business.

The company never released one big list showing exactly which restaurants would close, which has made tracking them down a little tricky. There was some confusion early on about which locations actually closed, and honestly, there’s still a little confusion now.

More Michigan Wendy’s Locations Have Closed in 2026

After going back through the locations we first reported on earlier this year and checking for additional closures, we found 11 Michigan Wendy’s restaurants that have closed or appear to have closed in 2026.

A few were pretty easy to confirm, while others took a little more digging. One location is still technically listed as temporarily closed, although everything we found points to it being shut down.

As far as we know, Wendy’s isn’t done closing locations either. More restaurants could still shut down in Michigan or elsewhere around the country before the year is over.
